Pricing and number of licenses you’ll need
Pricing for PCLaw starts at about $1,000, but varies based on the number of licenses and add-on features, custom training, or support.

There is no limit to the number of computer workstations the PCLaw application itself can be installed on. Just count the number of unique timekeepers you will need (attorneys, paralegals, clerks, etc.), and then count the number of staff members who may need to actively work with the PCLaw software at any given point during the day. Typically the higher of these two numbers reflects the appropriate number of licenses you should order.

Convert data from an existing billing and/or accounting system
PCLaw offers free utilities and paid services that can ease your transition from an existing billing or accounting system such as Intuit® QuickBooks®, Timeslips®, Compulaw®, Esilaw®, Manac® and Tabs3TM, as well as a number of custom-developed applications.

If your firm has a number of systems and anticipates that the transfer of information will require a higher level of technical expertise or more time than you have available, you can contract with a LexisNexis Certified Independent Consultant with any or all aspects of your data migration.

Returns and Refunds

New Customers
First time customers are eligible for a one-time refund of the full purchase price of the software within 30 days of the purchase date. Please note that no refunds will be issued if you have previously returned any software product or if you have reactivated the software.


To receive a refund, you must call 800-328-2898 or 919-467-1221 for a Return Authorization (RA) number. Upon receipt of the returned software pursuant to a RA number, the refund will be processed within 30 days.

Existing Customers
Fees for software and the AMP purchased by existing customers are non-refundable.
